ANYSORT Tea Quality Sorters Empower the Transformation of India’s Tea Processing Industry

In 2016, 25-year-old Vijay returned to his hometown, the Jungpana tea garden in India. As a "second-generation tea entrepreneur" who came back to start his own business, he was determined to inherit and develop his hometown’s tea industry.

Vijay started from scratch. He immersed himself in learning at tea gardens and processing factories every day, taking an in-depth part in the entire tea processing workflow. In just one year, this college graduate became fully competent for the work, and the elders in his family gradually let him take the reins.

Yet taking over this legacy was no easy task.

Vijay identified two critical pain points: first, the mechanization level of alpine tea cultivation, picking and processing was extremely low, resulting in high labor intensity and low productivity; second, the finished tea products contained a high level of impurities, which dampened consumer demand.

With the aging of the rural labor force, the outflow of young people, and the rising labor costs, these problems were becoming increasingly prominent and irreversible.

Just when Vijay was at his wit’s end, he chanced to meet the regional manager of ANYORT. Touched by this post-90s college graduate’s sincere ambition to revitalize his hometown, the manager immediately applied to ANYORT headquarters for 10 units of the DF Series Tea Quality Sorters to help Jungpana tea farmers improve sorting efficiency and reduce manual labor. Furthermore, building on its mature tea sorting technology, ANYORT carried out customized R&D for local tea raw materials (crushed tea), and constructed an intensive and refined processing industrial chain for high-quality tea via an intelligent platform.

Vijay took on an additional role—providing operational demonstration and guidance of ANYORT DF sorters for surrounding tea processing factories, helping everyone achieve common prosperity.
