ANYSORT DF Series Tea Color Sorter Technology Tackled the Global Tea Sorting Insect Challenge

Feb.05.2026

After China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the country launched the "Top 500 Enterprises Initiative", prompting domestic companies to accelerate their integration into the global market. This marked the official start of competition between Chinese and international brands, and "Made in China" products began their collective global expansion.

During this period, China gained worldwide attention by manufacturing large volumes of affordable export goods, earning itself the title of "the world's factory". Unfortunately, the label of "low-quality and cheap" became almost synonymous with the image of Chinese brands at that time.

Mr. Gao, founder of Jiexun Optoelectronic, traveled to Sri Lanka with his pride—the tea color sorter—to participate in a trade show. However, his booth was relegated to a remote corner of the venue, attracting little attention. A foreign tea merchant even sneered, "We dare not buy color sorters made by Chinese manufacturers!"

This humiliating experience made Mr. Gao acutely aware of the critical role of technological leadership in China's manufacturing sector. Determined to turn the tide, he led his team to conduct in-depth research into Sri Lanka's black tea industry, where they uncovered a long-standing pain point: the alarmingly high rate of rejected tea shipments caused by small flying insects mixed in during the tea roasting process. Back then, no effective solution existed anywhere in the world.

"If ANYSORT wants to go global, we must take on this formidable challenge!" Mr. Gao vowed silently.

Upon returning to China, Mr. Gao immediately mobilized his team to launch an intensive R&D drive. Identifying tiny soft-bodied insects proved to be an unprecedented technical hurdle, forcing the R&D team to proceed cautiously through countless trials and experiments—learning by doing every step of the way.

After 13 months of relentless R&D efforts and breakthroughs in multiple hardware and software technologies, ANYORT finally developed the world's first sorter capable of detecting soft-bodied insects independently. The groundbreaking product line was named "DF Series".

At a subsequent trade show in Sri Lanka, the debut of the DF Series caused an immediate sensation. Exhibitors and visitors alike praised its outstanding performance and exquisite craftsmanship. Even the President of Sri Lanka personally presented ANYORT with the National Award for Outstanding Contribution.

The DF Series not only earned widespread acclaim but also brought a much-needed boon to the global black tea industry. Numerous tea producers rushed to establish partnerships with ANYORT. The company thus gained recognition and respect in the global market, upholding the honor of "Made in China".

In this era brimming with opportunities and challenges, the ANYORT brand carries the glory and dignity of Chinese manufacturing. It continues to forge ahead courageously, leading the global sorting equipment industry toward new heights of excellence.
